How a production studio brought 6K drawings a year to one hand’s standard.
Forty drafters were producing forty studios’ worth of habits: inconsistent title blocks, layer standards that drifted by sheet 500, revisions nobody controlled. The set the field received couldn’t be trusted to obey its own rules.

An international AEC firm was producing 40K drawings a year and falling behind. Inconsistent title blocks, drifting layer standards and uncontrolled revisions meant errors slipped through to issue — each one a field RFI that stalled trades and eroded trust in the drawing set.
We shortlisted standards-checked drafting providers and stood up a production-drafting team across Manila and Cebu — working in the firm’s own CAD standards and title-block templates, enforcing layer and annotation discipline, and gating every sheet through an independent engineer check before issue.
Standards compliance reached 98% at issue, first-pass check acceptance rose to 94%, and standards-compliant sheets cut rework by 22%. Field RFIs traceable to drawing errors dropped by more than three quarters, and the drawing set became something the field could trust.

The archive had accreted the way archives do: original construction sets, renovation packages that updated some sheets and orphaned others, markups incorporated by whoever had time, conversions of conversions — all filed as “as-builts” with equal authority. The symptoms were operational: the contractor who opened a wall the drawings said was empty, the renovation estimate blown by conditions the sheets didn’t show, two “current” plans of the same floor that disagreed about a corridor. Every sheet claimed to be the building; nobody knew which ones were telling the truth.
